Youth Lacrosse in Hawaii

Hawaiilacrosse.com is proud to support the Aloha Youth Lacrosse Association at alohalax.com!

Interested in learning to play ‘the fastest game on two feet’? You’ll most likely find that it’s the most fun sport you’ve ever played. Lacrosse is a complete test of one’s athletic ability – imagine combining basketball and hockey into one sport. Once the whistle blows, it’s all out action with few rules limiting your play. That’s right, when you step on the field, you get to go 100% all of the time. That’s probably why lacrosse great, Jim Brown, actually preferred playing lacrosse over football.

Will there be any games for the youth to play during the tournament? There are three to four 14 years olds coming to watch, but would love to play!!

      Stephanie,

Unfortunately no youth games scheduled for the tournament, but I’m sure they will have a blast watching some great lacrosse! Last year a bunch of the pro guys put on a youth clinic, we don’t have the details set yet or know if this will happen, but will keep the website up to date as it gets closer.

      Aloha!

Are there any camps for high school girls to go to in the summer in Hawaii? Also are there any tournaments in Hawaii that a girls U17 or U19 team can enter in?

It would be great if the tournament opened up a youth tier, maybe a U12 or U14 group. I bet you’d have a huge turn-out.

Ross, we have considered that, maybe this will be the year! Our local youth program, AYLA, has been growing and it would great for them to have the opportunity to play youth teams from around the world at the tournament.
